Shefford and District Angling Association Ltd (henceforth referred to as “SDAA”) is a 'not for profit' company that is limited by guarantee and which operates the web site http://www.shefforddaa.org.uk/ (henceforth referred to as “the web site”). The web site is used only for the distribution of information regarding the activities and practices of SDAA together with information regarded as relevant to the sport of angling for its members.
The web site has no login requirement and is open for viewing by the general public in all of its areas.
Information Collection And Use
SDAA only collect written personal information provided by individuals when they take up or renew their membership. Membership commences from the date of issue of the membership card and expires on the date printed on membership cards. SDAA offer a number of membership categories depending upon eligibility. All personal information collected by the club is solely used for the purpose of managing the membership records of a 'not for profit' company that is limited by guarantee. No personal information is passed/given/sold to any other individual or organisation in any form. Personal information is manually transferred from application forms and electronically stored within a database under the control of one individual ‘The Registrar’. Reference to an item or items in the database outside normal membership practices may be made by the SDAA management committee but is subject to committee confidentiality at all times. As a company limited by guarantee SDAA has a legal requirement under the Companies Act to maintain a 'register of members' that contains the names and addresses of the members, the date the member joined and when they ceased to be a member.
Log Data
The SDAA only receive hit number statistics for the web site from our web hosting provider which contains no personal information. SDAA do not use any analytics or tracking services. Communications SDAA may use Personal Information (i.e. names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses) to contact members with specific club issues (e.g. AGM information).
Cookies
The SDAA web site does not use Cookies. Security The security of your Personal Information is important to SDAA, but it must be remembered that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While SDAA strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, SDAA cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Changes To This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is effective as of the last update date displayed at the beginning of the document and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being amended within this document. SDAA reserve the right to update or change the Privacy Policy at any time and members should check this Privacy Policy periodically. SDAA members reviewing this document after SDAA post any modifications to the Privacy Policy will constitute their acknowledgement of the modifications and thereby their consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy. If SDAA make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, SDAA will notify you either through the email address you have provided us, or by placing a prominent notice on our website.
